Northwest High School Museum Professional Development
August 1st, 2025 8:00-3:00 pm
Join Mr. Cherry at Northwest High School to learn how to generate student excitement, engagement, and buy-in with museum exhibit projects. Tour the NW Science Museum, learn how to replicate its success in your classroom, and jumpstart your own classroom fossil collection by accompanying Mr. Cherry to Trammel Fossil Park.
This professional development opportunity will guide you through how Mr. Cherry created the Northwest Science Museum and how to design projects for your own classes. While the Northwest HS project focused on Science exhibits, the museum framework could be applied to any curriculum area. All subject areas and grade levels are encouraged to attend.
Following the morning session at Northwest High School, teachers who would like to collect fossils for their own projects can accompany Mr. Cherry to the Trammel Fossil Park in Sharonville, Ohio. This part of the session will cater best to earth and life sciences, but all are welcome!
